interKULTUR - European-Chinese Intercultural Studies

 

The series „interKULTUR European -Chinese Intercultural Studies“ consists of teaching material for intercultural studies in higher education and research results of such studies. Languages covered are German, Chinese and English. Topics range as wide as translations in economics, intercultural mass communication or the cultural concept of „the Other". The overall focus of the series' volumes lies on their intercultural approach.
Except the Online course Volume 3 all publications will be available in print through the German booktrade. Due to licensing restrictions not all publications will be available as an Open Access version. However they can be browsed through Google Book Search. They have been developed during the project „interKULTUR“ under the programme Asia-Link* that was launched by the European Commission to foster regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in EU member States and South Asia, South-East Asia and China.
The Asia-Link Programme was launched at the beginning of 2002 as an initiative by the European Union (EU) to foster regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in EU Member States and South Asia, South-East Asia and China. Asia-Link has been a five-year programme with a total budget of 42,8 million EUR. All publications have been produced with the financial assistance of the European Union. The contents of this series are the sole responsibility of the editors and authors and can under no circumstances be regarded as reflecting the position of the European Union.
