The second volume of the new book series contains selected research contributions on current debates in the various areas of medical and bio-law. The individual contributions emerged from a two-semester research seminar at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen and cover a broad spectrum of selected positions in this rapidly developing interdisciplinary field. The individual contributions are intended as suggestions for further reflection on areas as diverse as emergency and intensive care medicine, infection protection, patient self-determination and liability issues in connection with the capacity to consent and the end of life. Taken as a whole, they provide a multi-layered picture of current positions at the interface between medicine and law.
