| dc.description.abstractger | Das Zusammenspiel von Bild und Text macht Comics zu einem wirkungsvollen Medium, um sprachliche, kulturelle, literarische, aber auch literale Inhalte auf anschauliche und motivierende Weise zu vermitteln. Dieser interdisziplinäre Sammelband richtet sich an Lehrende, Studierende und Wissenschaftler:innen, die sich mit Sprachdidaktik, Kulturvermittlung oder Translation befassen und an innovativen Zugängen im Sprachunterricht interessiert sind. Im Fokus stehen vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Comics und Graphic Novels im Unterricht von Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache (DaF/DaZ) sowie im Deutschunterricht als Erstsprache (DaE). Die Beiträge des Bandes beleuchten folgendes thematisches Spektrum:
• Didaktik: Der gezielte Einsatz von Comics/Graphic Novels zur Förderung der Sprachbewusstheit, kommunikativ-interaktiver Sprachhandlungen sowie pragmatischer Handlungskompetenzen;
• Kultur: Comics/Graphic Novels als Medium zur Vermittlung einer konstruktiven Auseinandersetzung mit kulturellen und historischen Inhalten;
• Translation: Herausforderungen bei der Übersetzung von Comics/Graphic Novels aus der jeweiligen Erstsprache ins Deutsche und umgekehrt sowie Verwendung von Comics im Übersetzungsunterricht.
Der Band ist im Rahmen des vom Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD) geförderten Projekts „Sprachlos?“ entstanden und spiegelt dessen interdisziplinäre und internationale Ausrichtung wider. | de |
| dc.description.abstracteng | The interplay of image and text makes comics a powerful medium for conveying linguistic, cultural, literary, and literate content in a vivid and motivating way. This interdisciplinary collection is aimed at instructors, students, and scholars who are interested in language didactics, cultural mediation, or translation and who are interested in innovative approaches to language instruction. The focus is on the diverse applications of comics and graphic novels in teaching German as a foreign and second language (DaF/DaZ) as well as in teaching German as a native language (DaE). The contributions in the volume shed light on the following thematic spectrum:
• Didactics: The targeted use of comics/graphic novels to promote language awareness, communicative-interactive language actions, and pragmatic action competence;
• Culture: Comics/Graphic Novels as a medium for conveying a constructive examination of cultural and historical content;
• Translation: Challenges in translating comics/graphic novels from the respective original language into German and vice versa, as well as using comics in translation classes.
The volume was created as part of the "Sprachlos?" project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and reflects its interdisciplinary and international orientation.
