This series is the continuation of "Göttinger Beiträge zur Ethnologie", (Universitätsverlag Göttingen, Volume 1-6, 2008-2012), which originally had been issued as "Göttinger Studien zur Ethnologie" by the LIT publishing company (Vol. 1-17, 1996-2007).

Content of this series are scientific ethnological papers, which fit particularly well the regional and thematic focus of the Institute of Ethnology.
