This series is the continuation of "Göttinger Beiträge zur Ethnologie", (Universitätsverlag Göttingen, Volume 1-6, 2008-2012), which originally had been issued as "Göttinger Studien zur Ethnologie" by the LIT publishing company (Vol. 1-17, 1996-2007).

Content of this series are scientific ethnological papers, which fit particularly well the regional and thematic focus of the Institute of Ethnology.

The editors of this series are Prof. Dr. Elfriede Hermann, Prof. Dr. Andrea Lauser, Prof. Dr. Roman Loimeier und Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Schareika.
