The first volume of the new book series combines selected items in the trade-off of law and medicine, that cover this interdisciplinary subjects thematic diversity. The volume incorporates significant results of research of the medical law seminar at the Georg-August-University Göttingen, which thrives particularly essentially on the interdisciplinary dialogue between lecturers and learners from the two disciplines law and human medicine. Thematical focal points are primarily the current developments of modern medicine in the areas of stem cell biology, perinatal medicine, pharmacotherapy and transplant medicine as well as conventional medical law issues such as patient self-determination, medical confidentiality or end-of-life right.
